Carlisle Responds to Chimney Fire

At approximately 2200 hours, the Carlisle Fire Company was dispatched to the 400 block of South Washington St for a reported structure fire with fire in the chimney. Crews arrived on scene and quickly went to work extinguishing the chimney fire, and clearing all smoke conditions, allowing the residents to safely return to their residence.
All crews cleared the scene within an hour and returned to quarters.
